about

After one of those empty horrible lovely Sundays when the dust blows through the streets and you feel like you're never actually been anywhere or done anything and at the same time feel ancient and lost and sort of content with the pointlessness of it all.

lyrics

Cut adrift, in a sea of houses,
And empty streets
I love the times, when the day hangs quiet
On the lonely breeze
Motorcycle girl, out buying groceries
just like me
Where do you ride, with your tea and pickles?
and how do you sleep?

when the night, lies around
In this average town
I am trying to stop, and believe
That it’s normal and right
To give up the fight
to grow up and get in, to the game

I woke up, to the smell of fire
set in my sleep
Sometimes it seems, like my veins are racing
With gasoline
Motorcycle girl, with your horn-rimmed glasses
did you see me?
Where do you ride, when the feeling rises?
Do you break free?

And the sun, hits the ground
in this dirty old town
I am making it all up again
Are you riding tonight?
your hands on the bars
And your eyes on the silvery sky?
